Past experience

• Freelance graphic designer for Western Spirits, a liquor distribution and branding company. My work included the design of magazine ads, packaging and websites for a variety of brands of liquor, with large focus on KRU82 Vodka.

• Instructor at Western Kentucky University and taught two courses:
Electronic Technology for Journalism J232- Introduced students to audio and video gathering techniques and production, digital photography, creation of electronic graphics, web design and introductory animation using Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Flash, Audacity and WordPress

   Print Design J343 – Students learned the creative and practical aspects of designing for print media, including poster, brochure, booklet and large display designs, with focus on color, form, typography, photography and illustration.

•  Creative adviser for Imagewest, a student-run advertising and PR agency at Western Kentucky University. During that time I trained, taught and mentored students through the learning and creative process in the design field.

• Director of Fine Arts at North Cross School in Roanoke, Virginia, where I organized monthly meetings with the arts faculty and served as their advocate in monthly department head meetings, observed other fine arts courses and provided support, initiated Friends of the Arts parents booster club and frequently met with school administrators as an advocate for the arts’ place in education. During that time I was also the Upper School Art Teacher, and taught students in grades 9–12 studio art courses including Painting, Drawing and Ceramics, as well as digital arts courses including Print/Web Design and Animation

• Graphic Designer for The Wallace Agency in Roanoke, Virginia, where I designed print projects and websites for a variety of local businesses

• Graphic Designer at M2 Studio in Roanoke, Virginia, where I designed websites and graphics for colleges and universities and maintained the website for Hollins University
