What’s This?

The big old house.

This blog began over three years ago as a recording of my year living and working in Guadalajara, México. It morphed into reflections on my experiences in Kentucky, living in a 130-year-old house first inhabited by Colonel Crump and his wife Mary Norton Underwood (hence the blog title). The blog now largely reflects on our year of living in Florida with our wee son Gus. I hope you might find an interesting thing or two to read here.
